Inaugurating Trump. Sad!

There once was a bully called Trump
Who had views on perpetual pump
He was easily triggered
And bigly on twitter
Persisted in taking his dumps

He used the best words that he had
To rant like a babyman nursing his Jack the Lad
Character thin
As his orangey skin
Punctuating his nap time… Sad!

No body is safe from his whims
He is scary when challenged and worse when he wins
From his sore, swollen glands
To his teeny wee hands
Sex and money and war are just Business to him

The cartoon for this POTUS in place
Has the world beady-eyed on the space
Will The Real Donald last?
Is this narcissist’s farce
Gonna blow up the planet or piss on its face?

State Shoots Liberty [#USElection2016]

Just as a golem wrecks at its own pace
And self-indulgent power learns to thrive;
There, at ground level Mercy yearns
To drive Humanity upon a wheel of Grace
And Tyranny’s obsessions to displace
Unto Eternity. From lack derives a paranoia
Willed; Fear kept alive by misery as great
As ever faced. Swap Honour for dogmatic
Spin as slick as oil. Give us your lies, your
Metaphors; your huddled, clichéd, empty
Rhetoric; the grasping garbage of your
scheming jaws. Bring on the vague but
Weighted, wordsome tricks and skim
The Truth beyond the darkened shore.

Vote Clump

Vote Clump.
In the room with the stuffed elephant,
Pin the tail on the wonky donkey.

Vote Clinton
Vote Trump

Free lunch and free passes
To narcissist arses
Her claim
His catharsis

Both lead to disaster
Just same pace or faster

World brace as the States
Choose which end of the clump
Will deliver their Rapture
And capture the sucker punch.

lonely lectern

Lonely lectern
waiting with the world
in all-expectant air
for yet another encore of
Obama’s flair for being late.
Perhaps a putting green
should be the new official
platform of the state.

But surely: such a long delay
must prove that what he has
to say is so important,
afterwards,
we’ll think his speech was
worth the wait?

Oh, poor Land of the Free and
International Community with
only seals and flopping flags
for time-abusing company!

But, look! He’s here!
The Messenger of wordy hedge!
We are all ears and on the edge
for want of comment and delay
of far more useful, pressing tasks.

Is this his ad-lib wisdom, fear or
nonchalance, we’ll later ask.
The now, all too familiar narcoleptic
punctuation starts:

… responsibility to protect… with effective partners… the right to defend… bankrupt… commitment to… strategic… rampaging… campaign… ideology… proportionate… with limited response to… humanitarian aid… with targeted support for… appalling… investment… escalation… intervention… provocation… threats… mission creep… in our interests… that’s all, folks.. and God bless…

now, where’s my dual wedge…?
