‘inherit the wind’

Narcissism wearing Outrage like an heirloom;
tribus, come of age,
parading its combustible dust with self-righteous air.

A world afire
and Justice, in despair, watching craven,
immemorial liars, gluttons, thugs and thieves.

Blood boils and spills and floods and, still,
they flag the breeze.

[‘He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.’ ~ Proverbs 11:29 (KJV)]
