And please you, have a Merry Christmas!

May you be bathed in light and love
May you be where you are at home
And not feel lonely if alone.

May you feel warm and dry and full
May you find inner strength and joy
And take time to enjoy it all.

May you laugh loud and longer than you row
May you be blessed with gifts of kindness
May you know the wealth and health
Of a peace of mind within our Now
And please you, have a Merry Christmas! 💫

I couldn’t have expressed it better myself! May Juli’s words bring you comfort and joy.

In case I’m unable to bring you anything more until after Christmas, I send you many blessings for sticking with me through thick and thin while I have been largely unable to give you equal support. Your love has brought me comfort and joy in no uncertain measure and I will always be grateful.

Have a splendid Christmas and New Year and remember to take care and keep laughing!

  3. Would you mind if I made a music/video version of this wonderful poem. I try to write my own words but am never really happy with them and you express a sentiment that I would like to present to those that may take a moment to view and listen. My intention is to post this on my You Tube Channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFMMsthVbw1F5OGm2c–1Gw but only after you have reviewed what have done and given permission. Acknowledgement of your work will be clearly presented. Thank you for all your observations and writing I just wish a talent such as yours was much more widely seen. Best wishes, Michael.

    • Are you on Twitter Michael? I have listened to a couple of your pieces, now and they reflect a lovely, warm personality that I will happily share. I don’t really want to have to create a special account in order to keep up and comment, though…

  4. Oh, I see that you are on Twitter but that I am blocked from viewing! Maybe this applies to everyone or perhaps I have said something, at some time, that you disliked? It happens to me a lot! 😉

  5. Hello Juli

I have uploaded a Version of

And please you, have a Merry Christmas!

And you can find it here:

I would have preferred to let you look at this prior to uploading it but I have no way of letting you see it other than via You Tube. If you do not like what I have done just message me and I will remove it.

I have kept the video content very simple as I do not want anything to detract from the words and dare I say it the music.

Let me know if I have done your words justice land if the piece meets with your approval.

Thank you and have a good night.

    Michael.

    • Oh, Michael, it is lovely! I think your composition flatters my words as much as your own words of praise flatter me. I like the fine line of the tone between solemn reverence and heartwarming confidence that so becomes the spirit of this festive season, emphasised by where the bells come in to lift the words up a notch at the start of the second part and the intervals you have given between each line. The snowflakes are fitting, of course but it set me thinking about how good it would be if an animator created a short story/scene to expand interpretation. I kept thinking of ‘the Snowman’ type of production and imagining Christmas morning things and a character breaking up the ice on a bird bath and a robin and…

Thank you so much for seeing something in my work that inspires. When it is nearer to Christmas I shall tweet this out, several times. I used the link on your twitter account ‪@pagescores ‬to access your YouTube channel as it was more simple and direct than the link you gave, here. (Thanks for the unblocking!)

Thank you, again. I hope you enjoyed doing this and that you, too are pleased with the result. xXx

  6. Thank you for the feedback and the real understanding of what i was trying to convey. Your words of course were the inspiration they powerfully ‘struck a chord,’ sorry. I agree about the animation it would be so nice to have a gentle back ground story. I did consider recording a version of this with the words narrated but I have little confidence in doing this as my self image in all regards is very poor and I don’t think my speaking would be an enhancement. I think someone who has a good voice and understanding would help give this piece another lift.

I am sure I will be in touch again as your work is something I find interesting in so many ways and i do enjoy poetry that is thoughtful and well written which your work truly is.

Thank you for liking the piece and ‘getting it’ it means a lot.

Take care and my good wishes are sent as always. x
